How Your Donations Are Used

As described in our Mission Statement the money we raise is used to benefit the patients being treated in the PICU at ChaD and their families.

Your generous donations have been used to purchase prepaid telephone cards to be given to the families so they can keep in touch with others easily. We have also purchased food vouchers that can be used at ChaD.

We have also purchased ten portable recliners that fold out into beds to give the parents and family members some comfort when they are staying in the room with their child.

For the patients and their siblings we have purchased a Starlight Fun Center. This is a portable gaming/dvd station that will give the patients and their siblings a much needed diversion during treatment. You’ve also helped us purchase portable DVD players and IPads for each room! That’s on top of the over $5,000 in toys and games we’ve been able to contribute!

Together, we have fully funded the decorating program for the PICU! The decorating project construction is now underway and the PICU will soon have a more inviting and child friendly atmosphere.

Overall, Fred’s Fund has donated nearly $100,000 to the PICU at CHaD!
